Supervisory Nurse (Case Management)

The incumbent establishes, implements, and manages a model of best practice that is appropriate for the needs of the Service Unit. Is responsible for the development and administration of the clinical component and appropriately involves the case managers and care coordinators. Coordinate all activities related to case management and care coordination. Ensure that all appropriate partners are included and the coordinated efforts take place in all appropriate departments/programs within the service unit, activities and projects related to managing care. Design, provide and evaluate information/technical support to the service unit staff in the appropriate utilization of health care resources and quality and quantity of care activities. Analyze pertinent health care data; convey results in relevant and understandable manners and terms. Assist/support care managers and care coordinators to implement quality of care and managed care monitors and controls in health care activities. To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). Minimum Qualifications for the GS-0610-12 One (1) year of specialized experience that has equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This specialized experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement. Examples Include:
Experience and knowledge of Case Management and Care Coordination processes to develop policy and procedures for a case management department. Experience in the development and administration and supervision of the Case Management Department of the clinical component and appropriately involves the case managers and care coordinators. Experience in establishing, implementing, and managing a model of best practice that is appropriate for the needs of the Service Unit. Experience in implementing goals and plans to assist/support case managers and care coordinators to implement quality of care and managed care monitors and controls in health care activities. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
